Windows 11 24H2 update results in improper scaling of images in Scout
What is happening?
The Windows 11 24H2 update has broken the commonly used Microsoft image library "System.Drawing". Because of this issue, on systems that have been updated, some images in Scout contain only the top-left quarter of the actual image content, enlarged 2x. No errors are reported.
Affected areas:
- Both the visual and thermal thumbnails on the search page (Scout 1.11)
- The visual image on the ImageReview page (Scout 1.11)
- Any wound location graphic (Scout 1.11 and Scout 1.12)
What do you need to do?
Until further notice we advise that customers postpone installing the 24H2 update until this issue has been resolved by Microsoft. It appears that Microsoft is aware of the issue and expects to have a resolution in an upcoming update. WoundVision will continue to monitor and update all customers when a solution has been released and tested to confirm resolution.
If you have already installed 24H2 and have this issue, it is advised to rollback to 23H2. Alternatively, on systems not used for capturing images, Scout Portal (browser based interface; https://portal.woundvision.com) may be used.
Please note: WoundVision has no control over the timeline of when Microsoft will resolve the issue.
