WoundVision Technical Bulletin

Active Scout releases prior to 1.11 are built to run on .NET 6 framework, which Microsoft will no longer support after November 12, 2024.

What is happening?

WoundVision customers running a Scout software version less than 1.11 will need to update their client installation software prior to November 12, 2024, to maintain HIPAA compliance.

What do you need to do?

Customers will need to schedule the upgrade with WoundVision. WoundVision will require a 1 to 2-hour maintenance window in order to complete the upgrade.

The following tasks will be required DURING/AFTER the upgrade:

Upgrade ALL client installations to Scout client 1.11

New product release of Scout Portal:

  • Alternatively on non-imaging workstations, users may use our new browser-based application for viewing/analysis/reporting of images and data (no image capture capability).
  • Customers that choose to adopt Scout Portal can opt to avoid upgrading any client installations that are NOT used for capturing images; e.g., PCs used in office settings such as the wound care team, unit managers, etc.

Please contact us with any questions or requests for more information. Requests can be made to your WoundVision representative or to support@woundvision.com.

When is this happening?

Customers will need to complete this upgrade by November 12, 2024, to maintain HIPAA compliance as previous versions of Scout operate on .NET 6 framework, which will no longer be supported by Microsoft after this date.
